Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on roshfort.com, what each one is for, and how you can control them. It applies to this website only.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember things between page loads — what is in your cart, whether you are signed in, which language you chose. Similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage do comparable jobs and are covered by this policy too.
The cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary
These make the shop work. Without them you could not add an item to the cart or check out. They are set by Shopify, the platform this store runs on.
- Cart and session — remembers the items in your cart and keeps your session alive while you browse and pay.
- Security — helps detect fraudulent activity and keeps checkout secure.
- Preferences — remembers choices such as your region.
These cannot be switched off through the site, because the store would stop working.
2. Analytics
These tell us how the shop is used — which pages are visited, where people leave, whether a page is broken on a particular device. We see this as totals and trends, not as a file on you.
- Shopify analytics — traffic, page performance and order reporting.
3. Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Meta’s platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To understand whether those ads actually lead to orders, and to avoid showing ads to people who have already bought, we use:
- Meta Pixel — a tag on our pages that records actions such as viewing a product, adding to cart and completing a purchase.
- Meta Conversions API — sends the same kind of event information from our server to Meta, so measurement still works when a browser blocks the pixel.
Information shared with Meta for this purpose may be matched to a Meta account. Meta processes it under its own terms.
4. Support and delivery
- Chat widget — keeps your conversation with us open as you move between pages.
- Shipway — used for order tracking after an order is placed.
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — lets you see what is stored, delete it, and refuse cookies from particular sites. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.
To limit ad tracking specifically:
- Meta ad preferences: facebook.com/adpreferences
- On iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- On Android: Settings → Google → Ads
Personal data
Where cookie information identifies you, it is handled under our Privacy Policy, which sets out what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
Changes
If we add or remove a tool that sets cookies, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
