The word “personalised” does not tell you everything about the finished result. The surface, method, position and available space all affect what you are ordering. Start with the exact product rather than assuming one process applies across an entire brand.

ROSHFORT's catalog describes several methods. Some pens and metal eyewear use laser engraving. Selected leather bags describe hand embossing or foiling, while other bags describe an engraved brass plate. These descriptions should not be treated as interchangeable. A name on a separate plate is a different design choice from a name pressed into the leather itself.

For the selected model, establish four things before approval: the text, the surface carrying it, its position and the maximum supported length. If the page and its entry field disagree, ask the store to resolve that discrepancy first. The amount of text a form accepts is not evidence that every character fits the physical product.

Type the text once in a master note. Check spaces, capitals, punctuation and the recipient's preferred spelling. For a company logo, confirm that the supplied artwork is suitable for the chosen method. A small mark that looks clear on a large screen may need a simplified approved version for a narrow surface; ask for a proof rather than making that assumption yourself.

When a proof is supplied, review the placement as well as the spelling. Check whether the store's branding remains elsewhere on the product and whether other pieces in a gift set have their own markings. Approve only the version you intend to receive, and retain the approval with the order record.

This guide describes the purchasing checks, not a universal manufacturing process or guarantee of durability. The method and finish must be confirmed for each product. Read the applicable customised-order terms, including how faults are handled, before production starts.
